September 21, 2023 – Release 2023.4
Release notes
This release was focused on addressing minor issues encountered from our last major release.
Bug fixes
- Resolved an issue that prevented the adding of outside collaborators to a deal along with the sending of the invitation email.
- Fixed a bug with the “Share this contact” mechanism where vCards were not being emailed reliably to subscribers and their clients.
- Added the “Website” field into the list of standard export fields for contacts.
- Resolved an issue with the new LightBox API integration where the Price/SF for a sale transaction was being incorrectly duplicated in the “Sales & Transfers” section on the “Financial” tab of a LightBox connected property.
- Resolved an issue where the same Loan Origination Date was appearing in multiple loan transactions over time for a LightBox connected property in the “Financing” section of the “Financial” tab.

Bug fixes
- Deal access. Fixed a bug that prevented some deal “outside collaborators” from logging in to view deal activity.
November 17, 2022 – Release 2022.2
Bug fixes
- Company record access. Resolved an issue that could cause the system to become unresponsive when clicking a company record hyperlink.
- Mailchimp sync. Fixed a bug that prevented contact groups from syncing reliably with a connected Mailchimp account.
- Comp report generation. Fixed a bug that could cause the process of generating a comp report to stop at 99% under certain circumstances.
- Comp report for speciality properties. Fixed a bug to allow the creation of comp reports for transactions involving a property type of Speciality.
- Security enforcement. Broadened the scope of account security by preventing users with a role of “Standard” from deleting records assigned to other users.
- Spaces navigation. Resolved a paging issue in the listing detail page to properly display all spaces when a for-lease listing had more than ten (10) available spaces.
Performance enhancements
- Mailchimp optimization. Optimized connectivity for those users whose accounts are connected to Mailchimp. This should result in generalized performance enhancements systemwide.
- Google contact sync. Discontinued the Google contact sync because Google deprecated the API in use. This capability was replaced with a new vCard feature described below.
Feature refinements
- Contact importing. In order to improve data quality, the instructions in the contact import workflow were modified to better highlight those fields required during field mapping.
- Property exporting. Added the “County” field to all property exports, and also added “Building size” to multifamily property exports.
- vCard export. The syncing of contacts to Google has been discontinued and replaced with a more flexible and intuitive mechanism using a vCard. A vCard is an industry standard file format for electronic business card sharing. Learn more
June 4, 2020 – Release 2020.2
Release notes
This release optimized our new Mailchimp integration and streamlined the workflow. We also introduced numerous performance enhancements designed to improve the responsiveness of ClientLook at peak times. A complete list of items addressed may be found below.
- The new Mailchimp integration has been optimized for speed and data transfer capacity.
- The column for Primary Client has been restored to the Deals list view.
- Updates containing text captured from emails can now be edited again.
- Fixed an issue where the activity sync to Google sometimes disconnects.
- Merging duplicate properties no longer generates an error message under certain circumstances.
- Resolved a problem which caused the creation of outside participant accounts to fail under some circumstances.
- Random text characters no longer appear when deleting a team or creating a group.
- Fixed a bug affecting Advanced Property Search results.
- Adding a contact to a Deal now shows the correct list of possible relationship types.
- Filtering properties by contact no longer shows an error message.

We are excited to release our first ClientLook upgrade since the acquisition by LightBox. This upgrade includes a rewrite of our popular Mailchimp integration, new deal tracking features as well as a variety of bug fixes.
All New Mailchimp Integration
- Modernized workflow to maximize performance and scalability of our growing subscriber base.
- Automatic real-time synchronization of contact groups.
- Send email campaigns directly from Mailchimp using pre-populated ClientLook groups.
- View complete email campaign details inside ClientLook to proactively identify prospects.
- Get instant Mailchimp engagement stats like opens, clicks, etc. for each contact.
- Share a common Mailchimp account across multiple ClientLook accounts.
Bug fixes
The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Clicking on a comp in the comps list view no longer returns an error message in some cases.
- Page navigation in the Marketing module was made more reliable.
- Sending a deal invitation to a contact with no email address no longer causes an error.
- Ensured that a contact’s middle name is always included in exports.
- Fixed an issue where advanced search by creation date returned inaccurate results.
- Revising the “assigned to” user on a listing now saves reliably.
- Resolved an issue where the “Remove from group” option was inaccessible in a list.
- Fixed an issue where the company name was missing for Tenant Rep brokers on a comp.
- Added Deal % to the Related People grid on a listing.
- Implemented a solution to promote accuracy in company name searches.
- Added the creation date field to the page display for all listings.
- Ensured that the sort order of a list was preserved when using “Return to list”.
- Restored the “Units” field to the list view for Mobile Home Park properties.
- Fixed an issue where the listing ID was missing from the listing export.
- Resolved a problem where deleting an image from the gallery didn’t work in some cases.
- Adding property search results to a group works reliably now.
- Comments now appear in chronological order in the Updates tab and Scoop.
- Fixed an issue where the fast search bar was slow to respond in Firefox browser.
May 14, 2019 – Maintenance Release
Release notes
This release modified the duplicate scan and merge process and fixed some bugs.
Product enhancements
- Modified the duplicate scan and merge so that merging an entire list of contacts by mistake is now unlikely. Added the requirement to acknowledge when merging multiple contacts together and removed the “select all” option.
- Modified the page design of the email campaign detail page.
Bug fixes
The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed an issue where the user was not notified if a prospective deal participant doesn’t have an email address.
- Fixed an issue where running a duplicate check using only first and last name would cause an error message.
- Fixed an issue where the RPR and Analyst Pro integration controls would appear incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue where a contact’s middle name would not appear when exporting to a spreadsheet.
- Fixed an issue where doing an advanced search on a custom date field would miss some records.
- Fixed an issue where adding a new comp immediately after doing a comps search would fail.
November 23, 2018 – Winter 2018 Release
Release notes
This major release introduced our sale and lease comparable system. We also streamlined existing workflows and further simplified our award winning user interface. Our iPhone and Android mobile apps were also updated to take advantage of all this new functionality.

- Fixed an issue where the “Edit this deal” button would disappear under some circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where Scoop updates were off by one day when exported in Excel format.
- Fixed an issue where contact list in deals wouldn’t sort correctly under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where the “County” field was missing from the property detail page display .
October 29, 2018 – Android App Deployment

March 30, 2018 – “Tail End of Winter” Release
Release notes
This release added enhancements to Deals and the data importer plus some bug fixes.
Product enhancements
- You can now quickly see the category of each contact’s last update on a deal.
- The Deal module has been changed to full screen mode like the property module
- A new “View by company” option for updates has been added to Deals; see the “Options” menu
- Standard users can now be given the optional ability to edit updates created by other account users
- When importing contacts or properties, you now have the option to either self-serve your import (for 1000 records or less) or send your import file to our import team. For imports containing over 1000 records, your import will be sent to us to process for you. This will ensure the highest data quality.
- The “Description” field for deals has been expanded to 3,000 characters
Bug fixes
The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed an issue where exporting only selected records after searching didn’t work
- Fixed an issue where creating a lookup of contacts related to properties would skip contacts with multiple relationship types
- Fixed an issue where the deal list wouldn’t sort correctly by “close date”
February 2, 2018 – Winter Release

This release added “Last update” visibility for deal participants plus some bug fixes.
Product enhancements
- You can now quickly see when the last update was added to a deal for each of the contacts related to that deal. We’ll have an article with complete details on our blog on Tuesday.

The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed an issue where groups were not properly created when importing contacts
- Fixed an issue where editing an update removed an attachment
- Fixed an issue where “primary client” couldn’t be selected on a deal
- Fixed an issue where clicking the task grid caused an error
- Fixed an issue where certain sales stage picklist items were missing

November 27, 2017 – Fall Release

This release introduced our new iPhone app, new emailed activity reporting for your clients plus some bug fixes.

- Our long-awaited iPhone app has been released! It’s amazing – download it now by searching for “ClientLook” in the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
- You can now generate activity reports for all your deals at once and have them sent to your clients. For more information, see our blog post about this game changing new feature.

- Fixed an issue where the “Suite” field on a contact-property relationship wouldn’t accept non-numeric characters
- Fixed an issue where the contact list couldn’t be sorted by custom columns

- Fixed an issue where contacts could not be removed from a group en masse
- Fixed an issue where the “Recent campaigns” list would miss some recently accessed email campaigns

September 15, 2017 – Maintenance Release

Product enhancements
- Xceligent “land” properties can now be imported through our integration
- The company name field has been expanded from 50 characters to 70 characters
- The “Suite” field in our new tenant/property relationship feature is no longer limited to numeric characters

The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed an issue where Scoop would not show all shared updates to an outside deal collaborator
- Fixed an issue where the paging was broken when navigating in the recipient list of marketing campaigns
- Fixed an issue where changes to listings were not properly updated in BuildOut
- Fixed an issue where the links to attachments on email updates were being suppressed
- Fixed an issue where custom fields of the URL type were not displaying hot links
- Fixed an issue where the contact grid columns were rendered incorrectly when using the search bar
- Fixed an issue where the relationship column was suppressed for contacts on the “People” tab of Xceligent properties
August 18, 2017 – Summer Release

This major upgrade includes enhanced sharing, speed enhancements, new relationship options and tenant tracking, enhanced BuildOut and Xceligent integration and much more.

Product enhancements
- Better contact sharing – we simplified the way that contacts are shared in a multi-user account.
- Scoop gets turbocharged – significant speed improvements and a new full-screen format.
- Relationship can now be privatized – allowing confidential relationships to remain that way.
- New tenant tracking features – you can now specify tenancy details when linking contacts to their properties.
- Search by NAICS code – we added a searchable NAICS code field to company records. Thanks to our pal Gary Ralston for this suggestion.
- Listing import from Xceligent – you can now import your listings as well as your properties from Xceligent eliminating re-keying.
- Enhanced BuildOut integration – you can now push ClientLook properties to your BuildOut account, in addition to the listings push we already offered.
- Better control over what your outside collaborators see – specify exactly which updates your clients will see in the online “war room” for each of your deals. Thanks to our friends at Lee & Associates for this suggestion.
- Added sharing options for your MailChimp campaigns – you can now specify which of your shared account users can access a marketing campaign.
- Communities have been discontinued.
- Google contact sync now pushes only from ClientLook to Google, the pull from Google has been discontinued.
Bug fixes
The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed an issue where the listing start and expiration dates could not be searched in “advanced search”.
- Fixed an issue where the recipient list of a marketing campaign could not be exported.
- Fixed an issue where the date range filter in Scoop was inaccurate under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where deleting the primary broker on a listing would delete the listing.
March 30, 2017 – Integration with Spaceful by Xceligent

This release introduced a new integration partner and bug fixes.
Product enhancements
- Added integration with Spaceful by Xceligent, which allows you to create elegant tour books in minutes. Learn more.
- Added an automated Xceligent property importer to facilitate the transfer of Xceligent property data without the need for field mapping.
- Moved the location of the “Share with” picklist in updates, events and tasks to make it more obvious who you are sharing updates with.
Bug fixes
The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.
- Fixed a couple issues with the MailChimp integration which prevented sending campaigns under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where the email campaign totals displayed did not line up with the campaign contact lists.
- Fixed an issue where sublease listings did not show “sublease” properly in the list view.
- Fixed an issue where metric measurements were not always displayed properly on a property detail page,
- Fixed an issue where removing a deal contact could also remove the primary client.
- Fixed an issue where property exports could include duplicated entries.
- Fixed an issue that prevented images from being removed from a listing record.
January 4, 2017 – Winter Release
Release notes
This major upgrade was dedicated to the introduction of our new Listing management module, as well as integration with Xceligent and CommercialSearch. It also includes enhancements to our Buildout integration, bug fixes and user interface improvements.
Listings management module
- Create sale and lease listings for any ClientLook property.
- Track spaces within multi-tenant availability.
- Upload images and files related to the property, the space, or the listing – you choose!
Xceligent integration
- Xceligent subscribers have the ability to import properties from Xceligent and maintain your own editable property record in ClientLook. All the property specifics and public record data is included.
- View real-time Xceligent availability, comps, tenants, owners and other related property contacts from within the property record in ClientLook.
- Relate your own ClientLook contacts and listings to any imported property.
- If you already have a property in ClientLook, you can use a special link utility to relate it to its corresponding Xceligent record in order to receive research updates.
CommercialSearch integration
- Publish your ClientLook listings directly to the CommercialSearch listing marketplace.
- Any edits to previously published listings will be published automatically.
Online lead capture
- Designate that leads generated from your CommercialSearch listings are automatically sent to the Virtual Assistant team for processing in your ClientLook account.
- Send leads from Xceligent’s Direct service to the VA as well. This ensure that listings hosted by Direct on your website are quickly handled.
Enhanced Buildout integration
- Push new ClientLook listings to BuildOut.
- Automatically send listing edits to Buildout as well.
- Send listing photos to Buildout for use in brochures and marketing material.
- Download properties from Buildout directly into your ClientLook property module.
Enhanced MailChimp integration
- Updated to Version 3 of MailChimp’s API.
- Improved the timeliness of scheduled campaigns.
- Increased responsiveness of real-time engagement stats (opens, clicks, etc) for your email recipients in ClientLook.
User interface improvements
- New list view for displaying contacts, companies, properties and listings with definable page size and speedy navigation.
- New export options include not only Excel, but also CSV, PDF, Word and HTML.
