  • November 27, 2017 – Fall Release

    Release notes

    This release introduced our new iPhone app, new emailed activity reporting for your clients plus some bug fixes.

    Product enhancements

    1. Our long-awaited iPhone app has been released! It’s amazing – download it now by searching for “ClientLook” in the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
    2. You can now generate activity reports for all your deals at once and have them sent to your clients. For more information, see our blog post about this game changing new feature.

    Bug fixes

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Fixed an issue where the “Suite” field on a contact-property relationship wouldn’t accept non-numeric characters
    2. Fixed an issue where the contact list couldn’t be sorted by custom columns

    September 15, 2017 – Maintenance Release

    Release notes

    This release was primarily focused on some bug fixes.

    Product enhancements

    1. Xceligent “land” properties can now be imported through our integration
    2. The company name field has been expanded from 50 characters to 70 characters
    3. The “Suite” field in our new tenant/property relationship feature is no longer limited to numeric characters

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Fixed an issue where Scoop would not show all shared updates to an outside deal collaborator
    2. Fixed an issue where the paging was broken when navigating in the recipient list of marketing campaigns
    3. Fixed an issue where changes to listings were not properly updated in BuildOut
    4. Fixed an issue where the links to attachments on email updates were being suppressed
    5. Fixed an issue where custom fields of the URL type were not displaying hot links

    August 18, 2017 – Summer Release

    Release notes

    This major upgrade includes enhanced sharing, speed enhancements, new relationship options and tenant tracking, enhanced BuildOut and Xceligent integration and much more.

    Product enhancements

    1. Better contact sharing – we simplified the way that contacts are shared in a multi-user account
    2. Scoop gets turbocharged – significant speed improvements and a new full-screen format
    3. Relationship can now be privatized – allowing confidential relationships to remain that way
    4. New tenant tracking features – you can now specify tenancy details when linking contacts to their properties
    5. Search by NAICS code – we added a searchable NAICS code field to company records

    3. Fixed an issue where the date range filter in Scoop was inaccurate under certain circumstances

    March 30, 2017 – Integration with Spaceful by Xceligent

    Release notes

    This release introduced a new integration partner and bug fixes.

    Product enhancements

    1. Added integration with Spaceful by Xceligent, which allows you to create elegant tour books in minutes. Learn more.
    2. Added an automated Xceligent property importer to facilitate the transfer of Xceligent property data without the need for field mapping.
    3. Moved the location of the “Share with” picklist in updates, events and tasks to make it more obvious who you are sharing updates with.

    Bug fixes

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Fixed a couple issues with the MailChimp integration which prevented sending campaigns under certain circumstances.
    2. Fixed an issue where the email campaign totals displayed did not line up with the campaign contact lists.
    3. Fixed an issue where sublease listings did not show “sublease” properly in the list view.
    4. Fixed an issue where metric measurements were not always displayed properly on a property detail page,
    5. Fixed an issue where removing a deal contact could also remove the primary client.
    6. Fixed an issue where property exports could include duplicated entries.
    7. Fixed an issue that prevented images from being removed from a listing record.

    January 4, 2017 – Winter Release

    Release notes

    This major upgrade was dedicated to the introduction of our new Listing management module, as well as integration with Xceligent and CommercialSearch. It also includes enhancements to our Buildout integration, bug fixes and user interface improvements.

    Listings management module

    1. Create sale and lease listings for any ClientLook property.
    2. Track spaces within multi-tenant availability.
    3. Upload images and files related to the property, the space, or the listing – you choose!

    Xceligent integration

    1. Xceligent subscribers have the ability to import properties from Xceligent and maintain your own editable property record in ClientLook. All the property specifics and public record data is included.
    2. View real-time Xceligent availability, comps, tenants, owners and other related property contacts from within the property record in ClientLook.
    3. Relate your own ClientLook contacts and listings to any imported property.
    4. If you already have a property in ClientLook, you can use a special link utility to relate it to its corresponding Xceligent record in order to receive research updates.

    CommercialSearch integration

    1. Publish your ClientLook listings directly to the CommercialSearch listing marketplace.
    2. Any edits to previously published listings will be published automatically.

    Online lead capture

    1. Designate that leads generated from your CommercialSearch listings are automatically sent to the Virtual Assistant team for processing in your ClientLook account.
    2. Send leads from Xceligent’s Direct service to the VA as well. This ensure that listings hosted by Direct on your website are quickly handled.

    Enhanced Buildout integration

    1. Push new ClientLook listings to BuildOut.
    2. Automatically send listing edits to Buildout as well.
    3. Send listing photos to Buildout for use in brochures and marketing material.
    4. Download properties from Buildout directly into your ClientLook property module.

    Enhanced MailChimp integration

    1. Updated to Version 3 of MailChimp’s API.
    2. Improved the timeliness of scheduled campaigns.
    3. Increased responsiveness of real-time engagement stats (opens, clicks, etc) for your email recipients in ClientLook.

    User interface improvements

    1. New list view for displaying contacts, companies, properties and listings with definable page size and speedy navigation.
    2. New export options include not only Excel, but also CSV, PDF, Word and HTML.

    December 22, 2015 – MailChimp, Mandrill and BuildOut integration

    Release notes

    This major release introduces integration with MailChimp for mass email, Mandrill for individual transactional emails and BuildOut, a popular marketing platform for commercial real estate properties.

    July 17, 2015 – Collaboration enhancements and other new features

    Release notes

    This build offers a whole new way of relating contacts and companies to deals for better prospect management. Collaboration capabilities are enhanced to make client connectivity even easier.

    Product enhancements

    1. Now relate both companies and contacts to deals using any relationship type(s) you choose.
    2. Deal collaboration is now optional for related contacts.
    3. Any shared account user can now send email to a deal without being designated as a deal collaborator.
    4. Attachments view. Transform your list of updates into a filtered list of attachments.
    5. “Copy to clipboard” creates a specially formatted block of a contact’s information for sharing.
    6. Speed enhancements for making contact and company page loading faster.
    7. Improved duplicate checking with company imports to handle multiple company records in the same zip code.

    Bug fixes

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Fixed some search bugs for particular use cases.
    2. Added more property types and secondary uses.
    3. The Contacts tab in the Company detail page now shows the related contact’s Category.

    May 15, 2015 – New features and bug fixes

    Release notes

    This build focused on further software and hardware performance enhancements to accommodate our growing user base along with new features for importing and auto-dialing. We also addressed some newly identified bugs.

    Product enhancements

    1. Contact and company detail page performance optimized.
    2. Property “Secondary use” renamed “Property use(s)” and some additional picklist values added.
    3. Implemented Apple phone schema for iOS auto-dialing.
    4. Upgraded server hard drive speed to increase performance.
    5. Added service for preserving relationships between imported properties and contacts.

    Bug fixes

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Some custom fields in company records were skipped during import.
    2. Deal opportunity amount formatted incorrectly on detail page.
    3. Periodic server error when sorting tasks by priority.
    4. Contact imports couldn’t be assigned to a team.
    5. End time now correctly changes when start time of event changes.
    6. Deal list now properly refreshes after deleting multiple deals.
    7. Adding a second comment to an update immediately after adding first comment works correctly now.
    8. Paging in the related contact list in properties improved.
    9. Outside participants now correctly prompted for time zone.

    April 15, 2015 – New features and bug fixes

    Release notes

    In this release we added lots of new data fields based on fantastic user input. We also improved performance and fixed some bugs.

    Product enhancements

    1. Added more data fields to now support up to 8 different unit mix types in multifamily properties.
    2. Added more data fields to support additional hospitality property attributes.
    3. Added “Major tenants” field to Industrial property data fields list.
    4. Added “Building #” field to the standard property address fields.
    5. Added “Frontage” field for all properties types.
    6. Improved performance loading company records.
    7. Confirmation now required before allowing sync profile to be deleted.

    Bug fixes

    The following reported bugs were resolved in this build.

    1. Question mark character in custom field name broke search page.
    2. ZIP code was sometimes missing from property exports.
    3. Clicking “Next page” in Scoop properly restores page focus to the top of the next page.
    4. Clicking “Return to list” after a search now works properly.
    5. Some multifamily fields were missing from the import utility.
    6. Comments added to updates are now consistently emailed to the original poster.

    March 6, 2015 – New features and bug fixes

    Release notes

    In this release we added some last remaining features that didn’t make it into previous upgrades. We also resolved a handful of pesky bugs.

    Product enhancements

    1. Added a new “Priority” field to Tasks.
    2. Increased the speed of the contact importer.
    3. Added related property address information to the “Deal” export.
    4. Added additional secondary use types for retail and hospitality property types.
    5. “Property notes” field expanded from 150 to 1000 characters.
    6. Added “metric” unit of measure option.
    7. Added fields for “gross leasable area” and “net rentable area” to the property tracking system.
    8. Added “Nickname” to the fields searched by the quick search bar.
    9. Contact and company images now allow the uploading of PNG photo types.
    10. Street addresses for properties can now handle numeric ranges, both on manual entry and data import (100-120 Main Street, for example).

    Bug fixes

    1. Resolved an issue where comments on an update were sent to the wrong user if that user created the original update on behalf of someone else.
    2. Fixed an issue where the “Options” menu disappeared under certain circumstances.
    3. Fixed an issue where updates in communities could not be deleted.
    4. Fixed an issue where property maps would sometimes not appear on the property detail page.

    January 30, 2015 – Maintenance Release

    Release notes

    In this release we added a few new features and resolved some bugs.

    Product enhancements

    1. Removed the mini-map from the contact and company detail pages based on user feedback.
    2. Added “Neighborhood Center” to the list of Secondary Uses for Retail properties.
    3. Added “Nickname” to the fields included in contact searches initiated through the Universal search.
    4. Added “Last Name Suffix” to the results list that appears in a contact Universal search.
    5. Completed updating the user interface within the Setup module.

    Bug fixes

    1. Optimized the loading time of company detail pages.
    2. Fixed an issue where changing the date of a Task still displayed the old date.

    January 15, 2015 – Property Tracking System enhancements

    Release notes

    In this release we deployed additional features to the Property Tracking Features and took care of some pesky bugs.

    Product enhancements

    1. Updates on deals automatically appear within a connected property.
    2. A “Map” link creates an edge-to-edge Google map of any address in ClientLook.
    3. Create a lookup of any contacts related to a list of properties using the new relationship search.
    4. Find contacts by “Nickname” within the Universal Contact Search.
    5. Rollout of the new streamlined user interface throughout the Setup module and User profile page.
    6. Implemented a new interactive Help system within ClientLook with threaded conversations.

    Bug fixes

    1. Resolved an issue with some currency fields that would not allow decimal places.
    2. Updated the Google sync module to prevent deletion of older synced tasks.
    3. Category picklist defaults now save correctly.
    4. Eliminated a data incompatibility issue that caused page errors when editing a property.
    Summary of 2014 updates

    December 14, 2014 – Property Tracking System Release

    This release was dedicated to the introduction of our new Property Tracking System. New features include:

    1. Ability to create property records for any type of CRE asset.
    2. Customization capability for built-in property fields as well as the ability to add unlimited additional property fields.
    3. Ability to link contacts and properties together by designating a customizable relationship.
    4. Ability to link one or more deals to a property.
    5. Interactive street mapping system for the default address of all records types.
    6. New property import module.
    7. Complete user interface redesign and update to further our mission of being the most intuitive and user-friendly commercial real estate CRM solution.

    August 7, 2014 – Framework upgrade

    This was an upgrade to our software framework. It’s boring stuff that’s not really noticeable to users, but it gives us the opportunity to design lots of cool new features.

    June 25, 2014 – Maintenance release

    This maintenance release provided several enhancements and bug fixes.

    Product enhancements

    1. Data exports and reports now work consistently in Microsoft Excel for Mac.
    2. There is now the option of creating exports and reports in CSV file format.
    3. More international name characters sets are now recognized.
    4. Email alerts are now sent for comments added to updates in contact, company and deal records instead of just Scoop.
    5. The Google Sync utility now uses standard Google address field types.

    Notable bug fixes

    1. Resolved an account login issue that could occur because of a bug in the deal invitation process.
    2. Fixed a bug to ensure all Google events synced to ClientLook.
    3. Fixed a bug in Advanced Search to ensure that duplicate records never appeared in results.
    4. Resolved an issue that caused items within the “Options” menu to appear inconsistently.

    May 24, 2014 – Import utility optimization

    A new import utility has been deployed offering even faster data handling. This upgrade also featured a variety of enhancements and bug fixes.

    New data import utility

    1. Processing speed has been increased by more than 600%.
    2. Importer now allows the import of “Direct” phone numbers in addition to work, mobile, home and FAX.

    Enhancements in this upgrade

    1. Direct phone numbers now sync to Google.
    2. The “Description” field has been expanded from 256 characters to 4,000 characters.
    3. “Advanced search” now includes the ability to search contacts and companies based on the date they were added to the system.
    4. The names of “Inactive” users, who no longer have ClientLook subscriptions, are now suppressed from pick lists on shared team accounts.
    5. Long number fields now consistently appear with comma separators by default for easier readability

    Notable bug fixes

    1. Editing a task no longer changes the due date to the current date in some cases.
    2. Creating a task for a future date no longer incorrectly makes an update on the creation date in some cases.
    3. A bug which may cause a search error when a company name contains a period has been fixed.
    4. Company names for updates created on company records without a contact are now included on deal reports.
    5. Deal list export now includes custom deal fields which were sometimes missing.

    April 18, 2014 – Sync utility optimization

    New mobile sync utility

    This upgrade introduced a brand new mobile sync utility to improve upon the automatic transfer of contact and activity updates between ClientLook and your mobile device(s). It now supports “push” technology for more rapid syncing. Features include:

    1. Optimized the Google sync utility to enhance speed.
    2. Implemented real-time bi-directional push of events between ClientLook and Google.
    3. Contacts now push in real-time from ClientLook to Google.
    4. Expanded the size of the notes field that syncs with contacts to mobile devices.

    January 27, 2014 – Winter Release

    The ClientLook winter release was primarily a maintenance release focused on bug fixes, optimization and architecture modifications to prepare for the upcoming property module. Here’s a list of what’s included in this upgrade.

    Activities

    1. Fixed a bug with tasks sorting in the Activities module.
    2. Fixed a bug to properly clear the “Scheduled with” grid in activities.
    3. Fixed a bug to ensure that Tasks always displayed property in contact records.
    4. Resolved an occasional issue with popup reminder times.

    Administration

    1. Support for time zones now prompts users to specify their location preference.
    2. Refined a feature to allow users to reallocate their licenses for inactive users.

    Advanced search

    1. Updated the UI of the Advanced Search page in the Projects module.
    2. Fixed a bug where a server error would sometimes occur when searching by “Assigned to”.
    3. Resolved an issue related to inconsistent results when searching by “Sales stage”.
    4. Fixed a UI problem in the Groups grid after performing an advanced search.

    Client access

    1. Resolved cases where outside project participants were unable to access their account.

    Companies module

    1. Fixed the tab order within the New/Edit Company page.
    2. Resolved a bug to eliminate a server error when cancelling some company record edits.
    3. Fixed a bug to ensure that projects always appeared within the related company record.

    Contacts module

    1. Resolved an issue where the wrong contact photo could appear.
    2. Added the “Direct” phone number to the contact export.
    3. Fixed a bug that would causes an occasional server error when adding a contact to a company.
    4. Increased the size of the “Website” field to 256 characters.
    5. Addressed a UI issue to ensure that picklist font sizes were consistent with all others.
    6. Made the “Direct” number the default number to appear in the Contacts list view.

    Custom fields

    1. Ensured that system field attributes could not be edited.
    2. Reverted the “Sales stage” field to a single-select picklist.
    3. Significantly expanded the number of picklist entries allowed.
    4. Resolved a bug that caused some custom picklist entries to be suppressed.
    5. Fixed a bug that could causes a server error when editing picklist entries.

    Projects

    1. Changed the name of the Projects module to “Deals”. This was done to better accommodate the upcoming property module. This does not affect any data. It is a cosmetic change only.
    2. Fixed a bug that could cause a server error when a user accessed a project not assigned to them.
    3. Fixed a bug in the A-Z navigation of the Projects list view.
    4. Resolved a search issue with projects that could cause inconsistent results.
    5. Better handling of the case where a duplicate project name is entered in the same account.

    Scoop

    1. Fixed a UI problem that could cause some updates to misalign.
    2. Resolved a UI issue with the “Options” menu in Internet Explorer 11.
    3. Fixed a bug related to attaching web links to Scoop updates.

    General

    1. Increased the size of email attachments handled by the Email Reader to 10MB per message.
    Summary of 2013 updates

    November 18, 2013 – Fall Release

    The ClientLook fall release is designed to add significant improvements to customization and searching. Once again this build was driven by user requests, and we really appreciate the incredible feedback. Here’s a list of what’s included in this upgrade.

    Advanced searching

    1. Totally redesigned advanced search module with significantly faster response time.
    2. Perform searches using operators like “and”, “or”, “contains” and more.
    3. Include group membership in advanced searches for more targeted results.

    Custom picklists

    1. Edit the picklists of existing ClientLook system fields like Contact Type to contain your own values.
    2. Add a standard or multi-select picklist to any existing custom text field.
    3. Create new custom picklist fields and assign default values to expedite data entry.
    4. New user interface makes it even easier to add data for searching.

    Expanded Profile page

    1. Each user’s Profile page now contains all updates, emails and files assigned to the user.
    2. New reporting option allows for expanded activity reports by user.

    Bug fixes

    1. Resolved an issue with the display of the total value in some projects.
    2. Fixed a display issue in the user Profile page.
    3. Corrected a problem with a report error in some browsers.
    4. Fixed a sync issue involving time change.

    July 19, 2013 – Summer release

    The ClientLook summer release is designed to improve performance and usability. Thanks to everyone for all the amazing feedback. Here’s a list of what’s included in this upgrade.

    List views

    1. “My recent records” keeps your top 25 contacts, company and projects at your fingertips.
    2. A new picklist in every list view provides instant access to your group members.

    Detail views

    1. While viewing a contact, company or project navigate between records in a list using the new “Previous” and “Next” links.
    2. The search filter for Updates is now more accessible to help make keyword searches faster.

    Activities module

    1. View the scheduled activities of other users in your account.
    2. Activity editing and saving is now considerably faster.

    Projects

    1. Participants of all newly created projects now share a common email address to make project updates simpler.
    2. Add new project participants without sending an invitation as long as you share a subscription.

    Scoop

    1. Scoop now defaults to show “My recent updates” to keep you focused on your activity.
    2. Navigation and load time of large Scoop lists has been optimized.
    3. A new information panel keeps you informed about ClientLook news, training, and events.

    Bug fixes

    1. Inactive projects now appear properly when performing certain searches.
    2. An “Export” option has been added to the “Options” menu in the Companies module for account administrators.
    3. Comments made to updates are now properly included when using the date filter to search updates for a particular date range.
    4. Scoop updates now always appear in the correct order based on the “Occurred” date rather than “Last edit” date.
    5. Resolved an issue that sometimes prevented outside project participants from editing their personal profiles and passwords.

    April 25, 2013 – Teaming and user administration modules

    Administration

    1. Create teams consisting of selected account users.
    2. Share any record with a team.
    3. Administrator module to manage account users.
    4. New user profile page with ability to share multiple phone numbers and addresses with co-workers in the company directory.
    5. New preferences section to indicate default sharing for new records.
    6. Implementation of Standard and Administrator user roles along with certain permissions for each.

    Optimization

    1. Additional refinements to viewing the master list of contacts, company and projects especially with larger data sets of 100,000 records and more.

    1. Added fields for first name prefix, middle name and last name suffix.

    1. Replaced the Country picklist in the contact address with a text box. Any existing country values in a record were converted to text. Now you can enter whatever you want without having to choose from a long list.
    2. Resolved a issue where the wrong contact photo sometimes appeared when saving a contact.

    Companies

    1. Replaced the Country picklist in the company address with a text box. Typing whatever you want is more convenient and easy.

    Projects

    1. Added Advanced Search for projects. Check it out.
    2. Resolved an issue with the display of small values entered in the Deal Amount field.
    3. Resolve a display issue with the “Create report” menu.
    4. The Deal Amount field no longer contains a dollar sign as a saved value.
    5. Resolved an issue where some outside participants were unable to see pending project activities.
