Save Time and Increase Your Productivity With These Tips

Busy. That’s the one word that I keep hearing from people when I talk with them. While being busy can be a great thing, there are also only so many hours in the day so you must use your time as efficiently as possible. Thankfully, the economy is doing well and it seems like everyone is in high gear running from meeting to meeting and jumping from task to task just to keep up. Instead of wishing for more hours in the day, take a look at these tips to increase your productivity while saving your valuable time.

Prioritize Your Health

Let’s start off with the basic, yet sometimes overlooked tip of making your health a top priority. I know many people who skip their workouts, grab unhealthy food (or don’t eat at all), and skimp on sleep when their calendar is jam packed. I get it; you’re trying to fit in everything you have to do for your business and unintentionally your health slips to the bottom of your priority list. I challenge you to flip this around and make your health your top priority. Make a commitment to getting a good night’s sleep, have nutritious food and snacks on hand, and schedule your workouts on your calendar – it’s an important appointment with yourself.

When you’re feeling your best, you have more energy and think more clearly throughout the day. Plus, exercise is an excellent stress reliever!

Stay Organized

One of the best ways to boost your productivity is to simply stay organized. Use a planner and schedule your day so you make the best use of your time. Of course you want to include meetings, property showings, and other time-specific events, but you should also block out time on your calendar to sit down and work. Give yourself blocks of time (60-120 minutes works best) where you can work at your computer to check and respond to emails, write up that listing agreement, or revise that lease proposal.

I know that many people check their email and/or social media feeds constantly throughout the day, but that can cause you to waste a ton of time. Instead, make an effort to check your email two to three times per day and your social media once or twice per day, at scheduled intervals. It’s best to get a solid hour of work done first thing in the morning before you check your emails. This gives you the opportunity to focus on your own tasks, and start your day out feeling productive, before your start responding to other people’s requests.

If you are not using a CRM for your commercial real estate business, you’re missing out on huge time saving benefits. There is a misconception that using a CRM will take too much time, however that couldn’t be further from the truth. In reality, a good CRM will keep you organized by showing you all of the tasks and reminders that you have set for each day. Plus, you no longer have to search through emails and files to find what your looking for for each deal you’re working on, because everything will already be neatly organized in one place. Plus, you can send reports to your clients with just a few clicks of the mouse instead of spending hours creating and updating reports each week. Talk about a win-win; you make your clients happy and you save time in the process!

At ClientLook CRM we also have an exclusive Virtual Assistant team standing by to help you with data entry, contact management, or to set reminders for you so nothing gets forgotten. Plan Ahead

Before you leave the office each day, make a list of the top three tasks that you need to complete tomorrow and leave it where you will see it when you arrive in the morning. That way you can hit the ground running as soon as your day begins. Your time is valuable, but with the help of these tips you can work smarter, not harder.
