Where did 2018 go? It’s hard to believe that we are down to the final few weeks of the year. If you’re anything like many of the commercial real estate professionals that I’ve been speaking with, you have a never-ending to-do list and prioritizing your tasks has become a juggling act. With so much going on, it’s best to focus on the efforts that will help you finish the year off strong. Finish 2018 on a high-note with these tips:

Analyze The Past Year

Be honest with yourself; was 2018 a successful year for your commercial real estate business? Were you busy or slower than you’d hoped for? What strategies did you use to gain new clients and win more deals? What business opportunities had the biggest impact on your business? If you felt like you were spending too much effort on tasks that didn’t have a good ROI, can you eliminate or reduce them in 2019? Think about what worked well, and what didn’t work so well so you can focus your time and energy in 2019 on the items that bring you the most deals.

Reach Out To Your Clients

With the holidays upon us, now is the perfect time to reach out to your best clients and let them know that you appreciate their business. You can send them a card, give them a call, or even hand-deliver a holiday gift. Either way, the goal is to make sure that you stay on the top of their mind, so they contact you when they have another commercial real estate deal.
