  • Richard Green is the President and Founder of Retail Leasing Network. He is real estate veteran who started his career in 1988. Can you tell me a little bit about your business? 

Richard: I am the President of Retail Leasing Network which is a privately held company. We are licensed and doing business in both Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada. We are experts and specialize in landlord/tenant representation and retail leasing and sales. Our emphasis is in leasing lifestyle mixed-use projects, regional and neighborhood shopping centers in urban and suburban properties. We aggressively market shopping center vacancies, identify and qualify prospective tenants, negotiate deal points and document leases. Much attention is paid to merchandising to achieve the best possible tenant mix and rates.

How easy was it to get your data converted into ClientLook?

Richard: I started using ClientLook back in 2015, and it was easy to get up and running. The Customer Service Department at ClientLook handled it all. This was the first time that I had experienced exporting CSV files and dealing with compatibility issues and I did not want to take the time to become proficient in manipulating files. Chuck Cutler was instrumental in getting me up and running and did the conversion for me. He made the transition easy. He also did a one-on-one training session and tailored the data to adapt to the way I do business.

What CRM solution were you using previously?

Richard: I wasn’t using another CRM; I was trying to manage my contacts and deals using Outlook. It was disjointed and inefficient.

Why did you choose ClientLook? 

Richard: I explored all the commercial real estate CRM’s that were available, and I simultaneously did the free trial periods on three of them that piqued my interest. ClientLook was hands down the most intuitive and user-friendly CRM on the market. It addressed all of the scenarios that I was looking for to organize my database and track my deals. Another major feature of ClientLook which helps to contribute to effective time management is the integration with MailChimp. I do a lot of blast emails as part of marketing my properties, and through ClientLook I am able to track the analytics of the campaigns within the CRM ClientLook makes it easy to share this data through template monthly reports to my clients.

What problems has ClientLook will solved for you?

Richard: I have an extensive database (over 8,100 names) of properties, property owners, tenants (retail and restaurants) and vendors that I access daily. ClientLook links my daily activities and correspondence with active deals, properties and the deal makers, and cross references everything. It makes tracking the history and correspondence of my deals easy. In the past, searching for this deal related information was very time consuming and frustrating.

How would you describe your overall experience with ClientLook?

Richard: ClientLook exceeds all of the expectations that I hoped this CRM would. I know that I haven’t even scratched the surface of all of the features that this software can do.

What features do you like the most about ClientLook?

Richard: One of the most important features that I look for with all of the vendors that I choose to do business with is their customer service. Clientlook’s Customer Service Department is the best that I have seen. They are knowledgeable and quick to respond to my questions. They were instrumental in helping me get productive quickly by converting my existing database into ClientLook and training me how to use it effectively. There have been several times over the past few years that I requested their help in importing, formatting and categorizing CSV database files, and they have always delivered in a timely manner. Most recently, Keith Rudnick did an outstanding job of importing several CSV files into my contacts, and custom labeled them for me. He had a quick turn-around, in spite of his very busy workload at the time. He is a true professional.

What advice would you give to someone who is looking for a CRM?

Richard: Take the benefit of my time and experience and shortcut your due diligence by going straight to ClientLook and checking them out.
