An Interview With ClientLook User, Keith Kite
Keith Kite, Managing Partner at Coldwell Banker Commercial, has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate and construction industries. He has a strong background in real estate investments including ownership, asset management, development and acquisition. This experience allows him to provide expertise in structuring investment sales, financing and advisory services.
In 2001, Keith founded Kite Properties, a real estate investment, development and management firm specializing in hospitality and retail properties.

Can you tell me a little bit about your business? What do you specialize in and what does your day to day schedule look like?
Keith: We are The Kite Team at Coldwell Banker Commercial in Vero Beach, Florida. I run the business with my son, Kollin Kite, and we specialize in retail and healthcare (medical office) properties. I usually spend my time in the office in the mornings and do property showings and client meetings in the afternoon.
Why did you start using ClientLook and why did you choose ClientLook?
Keith: I started using ClientLook about four years ago after seeing ClientLook at a conference I was attending. John Dawson was displaying the platform and it was the first CRM that I really understood. It was simple to use and made sense to me. I signed up for a free trial to give ClientLook a try, and it made all the difference in how we organized our commercial real estate business.
How easy was it to get your data converted into ClientLook?
Keith: No problem at all! When we first signed up for ClientLook I had an intern working for me, and the intern along with ClientLook’s Virtual Assistant were able to get everything loaded in a very short period of time. It was nice to be up and running so quickly.
How has ClientLook helped your business?
Keith: ClientLook works very well for keeping track of our team deals and new inquiries. Between Kollin, our sales and marketing person, and myself, we are able to move a deal along at a much faster pace compared to just relying on a thousand back and forth emails. The collaboration and organization has been very helpful for us.
What CRM solution were you using previously?
Keith: Prior to ClientLook, we were using ACT!, Google, and Excel spreadsheets. This combination was a disaster and we knew that it was important to consolidate everything into a much more simplified and workable system.
Please tell us about your experience with ClientLook:
Keith: What I really like about ClientLook is how it has evolved over the years and continues to provide us with everything we need to run our business efficiently. The platform is very cohesive and gives us the foundation to run our business smoothly. Our team really likes the interactions with Buildout, Google, and RPR. We were Google and Buildout users before signing up for ClientLook, so it worked in our favor that everything works together. Kollin really likes the new comp feature that you just released, and I like that we can seamlessly relate contacts to deals, companies, and properties.
What features do you like the most about ClientLook?
Keith: I love the Virtual Assistant and the iPhone app. I solely access my business contacts through the ClientLook app so everything stays organized in one place. The deal flow and activities within ClientLook are also some of my favorite features.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking for a CRM?
Keith: Find the CRM that works best for you and your business. Don’t get distracted by all the bells and whistles; make sure the system is simple enough that you will use it every day. Stay with it and don’t get frustrated; find the best way to have the CRM work for you to boost your business. Great data in, equals great data out!
How would you describe your overall experience with the ClientLook team?
Keith: Very responsive! The ClientLook team is excellent. We have had a great experience with Chuck Cutler and the support team, John Dawson and the sales team, and Greg Hoard with the success team. Everyone is very responsive and helpful!
