An Interview With ClientLook User, Janet Faulkner

  • Janet Faulkner is a Director at KW Commercial and the CEO of Faulkner & Associates; a full-service commercial real estate team servicing Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Florida.

    Janet is responsible for the success of the team, customer satisfaction, and training both new and seasoned agents. She is also the primary listing agent for the team and operates in all three offices.

    Janet and her team started using ClientLook in 2014 and was kind enough to tell us about how they utilize our commercial real estate CRM software to help manage and build their business.

Please tell us about your experience with ClientLook:

Janet: We started using ClientLook in 2014 and our experience has been wonderful. I oversee teams that cover three states in two regions of the county, and we all use ClientLook to stay connected and up to date. As the CEO of our group, I like that I can easily review the activity and deals that all of the agents on our team are working on. At any given time, anyone on our team is able to pull up a deal and see the current status. Plus, we always have the information at hand when a client calls and requests an update on their property. ClientLook is a great way to keep everything up to date and easily accessible to everyone on our team – no matter where we are located!

How easy was it to get your data converted into ClientLook?

Janet: Very easy! When we signed up, the team at ClientLook handled everything for us. We just had to send them a CSV file and they took it from there.

What CRM solution were you using previously?

Janet: Prior to ClientLook we tested other CRMs, but they were very cumbersome and not as user-friendly as we hoped for. We knew we needed a system that was specific to the commercial real estate industry. When Bill found ClientLook he described it as “the perfect CRM solution” and we knew that we found a winner.

What features do you like the most about ClientLook?

Janet: I tend to be less process oriented and more results oriented, I am on the road a lot, going from appointment to appointment. The Virtual Assistant feature is excellent! I can leave a client meeting or a listing consultation and instantly ask the Virtual Assistant to update the property or client record, or even set a follow up task. Within a few minutes, I receive a message that my request has been completed. Using the VA is a quick and easy way to keep everything updated and to set reminders so no detail gets forgotten.

We also really like the built-in integrations with Buildout and MailChimp. We do a lot of marketing, and it’s great that everything ties together within ClientLook. It’s important and useful to see the marketing data after an email campaign has been sent, such as how many people opened the email and how many people clicked on the links within the email.

The free training and customer support is also a huge benefit! Our team also likes that it’s easy to manage our property listings, relate properties to a contact, and easily log every client and property update.

Why did you choose ClientLook?

Janet: I have to admit that I am not very tech-savvy, so finding a user-friendly CRM was a top priority for us. I know that if I can easily navigate it, then the other agents on our team will easily adapt to it as well. ClientLook is very intuitive and has all of the fields and functions that we need to stay organized and efficiently run our business.

How would you describe your overall experience with the ClientLook team?

Janet: The team at ClientLook treats us like we are their only clients. I know they are busy, but they are so responsive and get back to us quickly. Plus, they listen to our ideas and value our suggestions.
