A free Trial Account is a fully-functioning ClientLook account with several limitations. A Trial Account is limited to one (1) simultaneous project, and does not include the ability to add internal team members (other ClientLook subscribers) to a project. Projects may be shared with as many client contacts as desired on a read-only basis as desired though. An unlimited Active Account is a premium paid account that is billed on either a monthly or annual basis. Active account subscribers may create unlimited projects and add as many internal team members as desired. Projects may be shared with as many client contacts as desired on a read-only basis. No. Your clients do not require an account nor do they need to pay a fee to access your online projects. Instructions for viewing your dedicated project portal will be emailed to them each time a new project is created. They have read-only access to anything you add online including any updates, emails, and documents you choose to share.
You can upgrade your free Trial Account to an Active Account at any time by clicking the "Upgrade Now" link at the top of your project list while logged into ClientLook online. Alternatively you may call our Sales department at 1-888-552-5665.
ClientLook upgrades are provided at no cost to both Trial and Active account subscribers.
You can cancel your account by clicking the "Cancel account" link in the "My Account" section of your online account. There is no cancellation fee or contract term. In addition you can create a new account again at any time. Upon cancellation all of your online information project data is deleted.
ClientLook may be used entirely within a web browser requiring no software download. However, you may choose to also use the ClientLook Desktop Assistant to facilitate data entry and/or to integrate within your desktop-based contact manager. The Desktop Assistant requires 512 MB of RAM and 36 MB of available hard drive space. Access to the ClientLook website to view project updates requires a broadband Internet connection and either Internet Explorer (version 7.0 or above), Firefox or Safari.
ClientLook is an online project collaboration and file sharing system that can be supplemented by the use of a Windows-based application called the ClientLook Desktop Assistant. The Desktop Assistant provides a shortcut for quickly and easily adding project updates and documents from your desktop without the need to login to ClientLook online. It also integrates with a variety of desktop-based contact managers to capture relevant information from these programs to eliminate redundant data entry. The Desktop Assistant may be downloaded from our Support page, and is activated by using your ClientLook login and password.
Files may be added to your projects by logging in online or by using the Desktop Assistant. Simply choose the file you want to upload, choose the project (or projects) to which you want to associate the file, and click Save. You may also choose the Save and Email option to simulateneously upload while an automated email is sent to selected project participants with a link to your file. Only ClientLook subscribers may upload files, and the current upload limit is 20 MB per file.
Your files may be accessed only by participants of the project(s) to which the file is associated.
Currently Active Account subscribers are provided 5 GB of storage space, and Trial Account subscriber are provided 50 MB of space.
ClientLook integrates with a list of supported desktop-based contact managers through the use of our Desktop Assistant software. The Desktop Assistant is a complimentary Windows-based software application that make entering project activities easier by capturing them from your local database. It eliminates duplicate data entry and allows you to work more efficiently. Just click the ClientLook icon integrated into your contact manager and click all the projects to which you'd like to associate your update.
ClientLook currently works with ACT! 6.0-2010, RealHound Live and REA 8/9. If you are not using one of these supported applications, you can use the ClientLook Desktop Assistant as a stand-alone application to capture project history manually, or use ClientLook through your web browser.
Yes! ClientLook works great as an integrated part of a contact manager, but can be used as a stand alone desktop application. As always you can use ClientLook entirely within a web browser as well.
The standard version of Outlook lacks much of the functionality of a full-featured contact manager, but Outlook users can benefit greatly from using ClientLook. When you install the ClientLook desktop application, select "None" as your default contact manager within your Desktop Settings. Using the ClientLook Desktop Assistant will then allow you to enter the outcome of any activity that you complete for your Outlook contacts or calendar items. The details will be transmitted directly to your online project portal.
The first step is to create a history within the supported contact manager that you use. Then simply launch the ClientLook Desktop Assistant in any of these ways: 1) Click the integrated ClientLook icon in your CRM, 2) Double-click the ClientLook icon shown on your Windows task bar at the bottom right corner of your screen, or 3) Use the keyboard shortcut you designated within the Desktop Settings of the ClientLook Desktop Assistant.
Any of these methods will capture the details of your history and present you with a list of projects. Just click the names of the project(s) to which you'd like to associate your update and click "Save History" or "Save and Email". With one click all the details will be instantly standardized, streamed online and made available to your team members and client.
Just go to ClientLook.com and enter your login name and password. You'll be presented with the latest updates, documents and emails contributed by any of your team members in one screen in real-time.
Simply click the "ClientLook" icon on your desktop and log in with your email address and password. Most users enable the option to load the Desktop Assistant at Windows startup. This makes the application available to you whenever you need it. The resource utilization on your computer is minimal. Aside from seeing the ClientLook program icon in your Windows systray you won't even realize it is running.
Your clients login into ClientLook.com just like you do. From here they simply enter the login and password sent to them by ClientLook when you added them to a project. After login they will be shown the list of projects that you are handling for them. Your clients' view is strictly limited to the specific projects you share with them.
Email alerts are sent when you click the "Save and Email" option when adding a new update or file to your projects. Doing so will send an automated message to the project participants you specify. This message contains the details of the update as well as a link to any file you may be posting online. No bulky email attachments are sent. Email alerts are a great way to notify team members and clients that an important event has occured or a new file is available without requiring them to login online.
To view the online list of all the projects in which you are involved, just right-mouse click on the ClientLook system tray icon and choose "View projects list". Alternatively just login to your ClientLook account online at www.clientlook.com/login.aspx.
Absolutely! Every project in ClientLook has its own unique email address shown at the bottom of the project detail view. Simply send an email to one of more project email addresses (To:, Cc:, Fwd:) and your message will automatically be added to specified projects. Emails may be sent from any desktop or web-based email client, or mobile device.
Yes. You may create a report or export data with one-click. The selected information is seamlessly converted into an Excel spreadsheet to allow customization.

If you cancel your account any data or uploaded documents related to your projects is completely and irretrievably deleted. The only exception to this automated deletion is history information that you contributed to another ClientLook subscriber's project. That information (unless manually deleted by you) will remain a part of that project as long as that project manager remains a ClientLook subscriber.
